Visiting the city of A Coruña for me is always a delight and there is no visit I do not make to the city in which I do not approach the Tower of Hercules.
My entry to #PhotoFeed Contest - Black & White Photography Round 61
This great tower whose origins date back to the 1st century is the oldest lighthouse still in operation.
From there one feels peace, joy and many good feelings, contemplating the immensity of the sea, beating against the rocks of the rugged coastline that has the north of Galicia.
But not everything is the Tower in this place, but one can walk around the entire entrono finding a very varied and attractive sculptural ensemble, such as this Hercules in a boat, as the myth of the voyage of Hercules with the Argonauts.
But of all the varied sculptures or set of sculptures in the area the set of the Menhirs is my favorite.
In the menhirs there are some holes that allow you to play with the perspectives, finding in some of them curious frames like this one in which you can see another of the monuments in the area.
Specifically, the monument in honor of the fallen in the ill-fated civil war that Spain suffered in the twentieth century.
And finally, my secret corner. A small beach of fine sand very sheltered where you can sit and reflect without being disturbed. On my last visit I spent 40 minutes there with the only company of my camera and the sea.
Best regards.
