I put a question mark in the title here, because my goal with the pictured jewelry is to re-home it. The ring no longer fits me and I'm looking to slim down the jewelry I'm wearing anyway.
Re-Homing Jewelery?
I thought I'd offer it up here to anyone from #silvergoldstackers first. If there's no interest, then no worries. My next option will be to try selling on eBay, since jewelry always carries a higher premium over melt value.
Feebay?
I'm normally the one buying random lots of used Sterling jewelry to resell if it's in good condition, or send off to be melted down if it's broken or damaged. This jewelery is used, but still in wearable condition, so my plan is to try selling. Even with the fees they charge, I'll most likely get far more than melt for it.
Into The Fire!
If all else fails, I'll be sending the jewelry off to the refiner to be melted down. I typically don't take the check option and instead opt for a silver bar returned back to me, minus their fees. Considering we're dealing with a fairly small silver weight, I'll probably opt for the check. If I'm lucky, I'd maybe get a 1oz silver bar back but I'd owe some money on top of it for shipping. Obviously, this is my last resort.
