We have some really good pasties in my neck of the woods too. There used to be a huge Cornish presence in the northern part of Michigan when the copper boom was happening. It's become one of the regional favorites up in that area. I always want to run some two tracks with my truck, but then I am reminded that it needs to haul our trailer home!

My State produced some 89% of Australia's copper production in the 1800's and the Cornish miners were predominant. On my mum's side our ancestry goes back the UK and Cornwall in particular so one could say I grew up on pasty's. Lol. Such a legit meal indeed.

They are so good! I try to get one anytime I am up in the keewenaw peninsula or copper harbor area of Michigan. It just goes to show how skillful the Cornish miners were that they traveled the world like that.
