RE: Killing Time the Right Way: Aerial Views of a Quaint Village

in Drone4 months ago

I can imagine after all these years :-D
Of course, there's a difference in cities as well, if you take what we call a big city like Antwerp, it hardly even compares to an average town in the States I guess :-)
What I love about many of our cities is the history you can see there. A few months ago we went to Trier, in Germany, and visited the Dom, which is like 2000yrs old. That is unimaginable. That's the city part I love :-)

Yes, indeedy, living so many years naked in the jungle changed me, that's for sure! Many US cities are entirely too big I'd say! Yes, that's one thing that I certainly understand about living in or visiting old cities with amazing history and the architecture to go with it! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

That's !INDEED simply lovely in many European/Belgian cities! If you walk around in Bruges, it only takes just a very little bit of imagination to think of yourself as walking around in the middle ages. And many cities in Belgium are like that (though not in the same extend as Bruges). It's not like walking around in an open air mall, or a business park.

That sounds amazing indeed! I've so far not been to any really old city, which is why I appreciate Hivers sharing their photo adventures in such cities! Some of them are quite incredible! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Yes, I just saw and commented on that post a short while ago! It is a lovely city, and I don't say that often! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

It is lovely !INDEED !! Many Belgian cities still have some parts like that, but Bruges is unique in that it has so many well conserved pieces together in its center.

It's wonderful that so much of the old structures were maintained, even the cobblestone streets! Buildings like that feel soooo different from any modern structure! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Do NOT mention the cobblestone streets after I’ve walked the 100km!!! I can tell you that after walking 50-60km, walking 5km over cobblestone streets is straightforward torture!!!
But it is beautiful !INDEED !
