Today was a marathon of sorts—three walks totaling 18 kilometers! It all started with a moody 5km morning walk. The sky was overcast, the kind that makes you wonder if the sun ever plans to show up. But whatever, there’s something peaceful about those clouds, reflecting perfectly in the canal, making it feel like I was walking in a painting.
By lunchtime, the scene had flipped. The clouds parted, and I embarked on another 5km under a clearer sky. The path was lined with fields and the fresh, invigorating scent of the countryside, which I just LOVE to sniff. It was a reminder that sometimes, you just have to keep moving until things brighten up.
The evening was the grand finale—an 8km walk bathed in golden sunlight. The sun blazed down, casting long shadows and making everything around me glow. The trees reflected in the water, again creating the mirror image that was almost too perfect to be real. It was one of those moments where you feel connected to the world, a small part of a beautiful, larger picture.
Each walk today had its own charm and challenges, but the progression from gray skies to golden hour felt symbolic. A reminder that no matter how your day starts, it can always end with a little bit of magic if you keep putting one foot in front of the other.
