Ignore the noise

There’s going to be plenty of noice now that the bull season is here. Many projects will come to pump your bags while some will come to drain them. Try not to jump on any project or invest lakadasically without doing your own research.

Always be careful on the links you click and be mindful of the attachments you download because not everything seems harmless the way we percieve it. Most folks still have their HIVE password, confidential files, and bank details saved up in their emails because they find it difficult to come up with a strong password, and are interacting heavily with that same email.

https://www.virustotal.com” is a website I’ll recommend to verify links and attachments when they are shared with you. Virustotal detects phising links and attachments, points them out to you, and saves you from being a victim of an unimaginable catastrophe.

There’s a really long list of aweful things that can happen when you click on a phishing link or attachment; but I’ll share a few with you in this post.

  • When you click on a phising link or attachment, you lose privacy, become compromised, and are not the only one using your device

  • When you’re compromised from a phising link or attachment, you give the actor easy access to your email which can result to them having access to your HIVE account and transferring your funds.

  • Clicking phising links or attachments may download malicious software to your device without you realizing it. This could include ransomware (to lock your files (confidential files) until you pay a ransom). Imagine your company suffering this out of your carelessness or that of an employee.

  • If personal information like your name, address, SSN, or NIN is captured when you click a link, cybercriminals could use it to impersonate you, opening credit cards, applying for loans, or committing other types of fraud in your name.

  • Clicking on phising link leads to reputation damage.
So sometime last week, a pal got her WhatsApp hacked by an actor because she unknowingly clicked on a phising link. The actor logged her out, and was asking her contacts for money. Using her business name and mobile number to loan money from loan companies. The actor went as far as cursing and insulting her contacts that didn’t fall for his/her fishy scams, dinting her integrity and damaging her reputation.

  • Imagine sitting by your screen all night and successfully taking profit from a token you aped in early on, you decide to catch some sleep for about an hour or two and wake up to an empty wallet. That’s going to be one of the devastating and traumatic thing to ever happen to anyone. This transpires when one clicks on a phising link or attachment and it’s usually not a funny story. Lets try to be meticulous in our dealings online and ignore the noise.

Come midweek, I’ll share tips on how to stay safe online so when you connect to the internet, you and 10 others aren’t using your device without your knowledge. Until then, try creating another wallet and email to mitigate the activities on your wallet with funds and email with confidential files.

Thank you for stopping by.

Traded should be done in the best way, so that not to loss funds, I am not someone who likes trading that much, but I am learning to be a perfect trader, maybe as times goes on, I will make the perfection I aim at, link's isn't encourage for a person to click, I dislike clicking of link's, and I make sure to verify it very well before I click any link.
