For most people night is a time for sleep a good rest after a hard day's work.
For some the night is long for others it is short if you have to travel a long time to and from work by train or in traffic jams on the road if your place of work is in a large city and you live in a satellite city.
Sometimes night is a time for a peaceful sleep and sometimes especially before a long journey or before going mushroom picking early in the morning or fishing the night can be a little anxious due to the adrenaline rush in anticipation of an interesting action this morning.
The night before a boat trip can also be very short, but a boat trip is just entertainment that you want to repeat again, especially if your boat is pushed by a powerful engine and you do not swing the oars to set the boat in motion.
Sometimes when I got to fishing because of a sleepless night I could doze off like this fisherman who was rocked by the waves they lulled him like a nursery and he could miss his catch if he does not wake up in time.
But what most people regard as fun, as a pleasant pastime for which you can go without sleep once for some people is a common thing they wake up before dawn and return home when night has already come and they know that it will be like this day after day when they lower the boat into the water to go to the vastness of the ocean in search of pearl mussels and these people are pearl divers whom I decided to depict in my drawing.
Putting pencils and a sheet of paper in front of you is the simplest thing you can do but it was not easy for me to decide how to depict what I imagined about pearl fishing and the return of pearl divers home after a difficult day of work.
I started drawing a boat with ballast for an ocean voyage so it will be more stable on the waves.
I liked drawing the boat more than those for whom all these thoughts were but I will have to draw people in the boat.
The appearance of the people was absolutely indifferent to me since I planned to immerse the whole picture in the night and the silhouettes of people will be insignificant.
Since pearl fishing occurs closer to the equator the full moon will not be superfluous in the drawing.
An island or coast of the continent should appear on the horizon, where the house of pearl fishermen is located where they strive to get to and bring their catch.
A few hours after starting work the drawing was completed.
I drew almost all my drawings during blackouts in low light probably because in many of my drawings you can see the night and a weak source of light in the form of the moon or the dim sun.
