Each visit to the supermarket has tempted me to buy other brands of coffee, some of them already recommended, but I always end up taking my traditional or customary brand, which is the Anzoátegui coffee, because I like its flavor and I refuse to change or leave my usual coffee parameter, to call it in some way.
In previous times, I was faithful to two brands of coffee that my mother and my aunt used to buy; "Café Madrid", almost an icon in Venezuelan cuisine, and "Café El Peñón", which followed in its footsteps, but for some time now both have been absent from the shelves, and for that reason I gave space in my days to another brand that I had allowed to integrate a little, of course I am referring to "Café Anzoátegui".
Its flavor is very good, I like that it has been able to adapt perfectly to my daily elaboration of guayoyo, and to my inseparable cloth strainer, that is important, because it is my favorite way of preparing coffee. My electric coffee maker was damaged a few months ago, and honestly, I haven't missed it.
Yesterday was market day, and it was inevitable to stop in front of the coffee display. I was able to observe new brands, which I had not seen before, as well as others that were already known but that I have not tried.
I considered experimenting with new coffee flavors starting with very small presentations such as those of 100 gr. A few weeks ago I was given a small package of "Buen Café" coffee, 100 gr, which is the brand I show in the photo, and I am still using it. It's not my favorite, but it tastes good.
And a few days ago, my daughter gave me a presentation of a coffee that I did not know, its name is "Café San Román", but it is very strong and I like a milder coffee.
So yesterday I bought my Anzoátegui and mixed it with this strong coffee and softened it a little. That's what I usually do when I get a coffee as a gift and I don't like it, I mix it with the ones I like and in this way I improve its flavor to pamper my palate. It is a matter of taste. I am not a fan of strong coffee.
To follow the route of new coffee experiences, I also bought a 200 gr presentation, from a brand that sponsored several important races in the area, but that I had not tried yet, it is the Amanecer coffee. It had been recommended to me but I still cannot tell you how it is, I did not want to open all the packages at the same time, hahaha, little by little. I will comment on my appreciation later.
Thanks for visiting my blog, it will be until the next story to tell you over a cup of coffee. Happy day!
