Hola, feliz tarde para todos. Una de las cosas que mi memoria resetea constantemente, son las anécdotas con mis hijos, y muchas veces hemos repetido tradiciones y momentos que solíamos hacer en la infancia, desde los juegos y pasatiempos, hasta los gustos y atracciones que adoraban cuando eran niños, aun siendo dos adultos.
Hello, happy afternoon to all. One of the things that my memory constantly resets, are the anecdotes with my children, and many times we have repeated traditions and moments that we used to do in childhood, from games and hobbies, to the tastes and attractions that they loved when they were kids, even being two adults.
Entre estas costumbres estaba visitar a McDonald’s, y pasar rato allí así fuera comiendo un helado. Recuerdo que cada sábado, cuando salía de mi turno universitario de medio día, nos íbamos a almorzar a este restaurante tan popular, y allí mis niños pasaban horas disfrutando todas las atracciones, comidas y postres.
Among these customs was visiting McDonald's, and hanging out there even if it was just eating an ice cream. I remember that every Saturday, when I got off my mid-day college shift, we would go to lunch at this popular restaurant, and there my kids would spend hours enjoying all the rides, food and desserts.
Ayer nos juntamos los tres para pasar un par de horas en este sitio que frecuentábamos en su niñez, donde la persecución del muñequito de moda en la cajita feliz, era la obsesión de ambos, y lo admito, también la mía. Yo era fanática de los accesorios que traía esa simpática cajita, y estaba atenta cada semana a ver cuál llegaba para comprarlo. Yesterday the three of us got together to spend a couple of hours at this place we frequented in their childhood, where the chase for the fashion doll in the happy box was both of our obsession, and I admit, mine too. I was a fan of the accessories that came in that cute little box, and I was attentive every week to see which one arrived to buy it. I even decorated a Christmas tree with the accessories from the happy box.
Rememorando esos momentos, pasamos una velada divertida en compañía de una barquilla y unas papitas fritas, que están de promoción desde hace mucho tiempo. Ver a mis hijos ya grandes pasando un buen momento en McDonald’s y recordarlos trepados en el parque de pelotas de colores, fue una misma cosa.
Reminiscing about those moments, we spent a fun evening in the company of a basket and some potato chips, which have been on sale for a long time. Seeing my grown children having a good time at McDonald's and remembering them climbing on the colorful ball park was one and the same.
No podía quitarme el gusto de fotografiarlos juntos, con sus caritas adorables, e imaginarlos pequeñitos como unos cuantos años atrás. El tiempo pasa muy rápido, a veces ni cuenta nos damos por el agite diario, pero en momentos como éste, pareciera detenerse.
I couldn't help but enjoy photographing them together, with their adorable little faces, and imagining them as tiny as they were a few years ago. Time goes by so fast, sometimes we don't even realize it because of the daily hustle and bustle, but in moments like this, it seems to stop.
Disfruté mi barquilla y mis papitas, sonreí en medio de mis pensamientos, disfruté cada segundo viéndolos juntos, y sentí el deseo de poder regresar el tiempo y quedarme mirándolos dentro del divertido parque de colores del payasito Ronald McDonald’s.
I enjoyed my basket and my chips, I smiled in the middle of my thoughts, I enjoyed every second seeing them together, and I felt the desire to be able to go back in time and watch them inside the funny Ronald McDonald's clown's colorful park.
