One of the things I enjoy the most when I go shopping, is to stop somewhere to have a coffee or a snack. This implies taking a few minutes break to rest from the hustle and bustle of shopping, the city in these Christmas days full of people everywhere, walking from one place to another that sometimes makes us take a slower pace to avoid stumbling, is all that is required to go through stores.
But when it comes to grocery shopping, I like to go to a place located between the two cities, in the middle of the intercommunal highway, called Supermercado Más por Menos. There we not only find groceries, but also cosmetics, hardware, bakery, and cafetín... yes, cafetín, a word that makes us want to take a break from shopping and enjoy a good coffee.
Days ago, when my daughter and I went out to do the fortnight's market, which also included the necessary ingredients to make the New Year's Eve barbecue, we sat down for a while to enjoy a good cappuccino and a chocolate. The supermarket bakery/cafeteria also prepares snacks that leave us full, and for very good prices. We both ordered a slice of pizza and our hot drinks, and enjoyed good conversation in a comfortable, air-conditioned environment.
The good thing about this is that while we drink our coffee, we go around the place with our eyes to remember what else we might be missing at home and we go and place it in the cart, and continue enjoying our drink comfortably.
This is one of the few places that has a coffee shop inside, which does not force us to finish our shopping so that we can go somewhere else to buy that coffee. Besides the delicious breads, pizzas and other savory foods, they sell desserts such as donuts, cakes, quesillos and other varieties.
