This is where we've spent our first night back in Italy, on our journey from northern Germany to our current house-sit. It's pretty close to the Austrian border, up in the mountains.
We've been there before when we were traveling the other direction, which feels a lifetime ago although it's been only about three months.
This time around I remembered to take pictures, which is great, because in the moment I wasn't really able to fully take in the beauty surrounding me. Too tired from the journey and the past two months in Germany, too cold and a huge part of me hadn't caught up to where I was yet.
But the pictures turned out very well, they do catch the vibe.
Such a beautiful place!
Places like this remind me of how much I love being on Earth and being a human that is able to enjoy beauty. If not in the moment itself, then at least afterwards remembering it.
The first time we have spent a night at this spot, back in September, I actually took a bath in the ice cold water of the river.
This time I didn't, although it was pretty tempting. River water is so cleansing, on more than one level, and up there in the mountains the water is still so very clear and clean.
Even my quick self-portrait turned out well!
I just put my phone against a rock, started the 10 second timer and hoped for the best ^^
It's always good to be reminded of the magic that happens when I don't try.
I was in such a dark mood during the journey and these pictures are a real treat for me right now. I'm so happy they turned out so well even though I was so absent minded.
That place is healing, even from a distance.
I'm slowly finding my rythm here at Casa Nel Bosco.
We've made some adjustments and now I start to feel comfortable here.
It's another great opportunity to practice the life I want to live, even though it's not my own house yet. We're getting closer and closer.
The dream goes on!
