Today, I can officially announce that I have returned to a reasonable routine after a distracting holiday. Yesterday, I worked on my novel in progress for the first time in over a month. I didn’t realize it had been that long until I looked at the calendar. Yikes!
Meanwhile, we in the U.S. have a new president. And it looks like we may have the beginnings of a new crypto rally.
I have three things to say about that last point:
- Yippee-yi-yay! I called it. The market dipped a couple of weeks ago and I said, more than a month ago, that we’d see a rally around Inauguration Day. Sure enough, that’s what happened. The new presidential administration, which is pro-crypto, has the crypto bros shouting Hallelujah.
- I’m keeping my eye on XRP. How about you?
- President Donald J. Trump was the first president to launch a token, even though he did it as president-elect. That’s huge! It makes me wonder if future presidents and presidential candidates will launch tokens as either campaign tools or victory memorabilia. Personally, I don’t care one bit about meme coins. Even presidential ones. But it is interesting that ++$TRUMP++, in only three days, has ++risen to No. 24++ in the market cap rankings. While there is a ton to say about that, I’ll refrain for the moment. Suffice it to say that we are living in a new age and Trump’s second presidency, whatever you think of the man, signals a turning point in the life of the U.S.A. His Solana token is one proof of that and it will be interesting to see how the president uses his meme coin to advance his ideals.
