Fear is one of the weapon that holds humanity to ransom. We are always afraid. Sometimes we don't even know what we are afraid of. Every day when we wake up, we keep thinking of what that day will look like. We keep imagining how we will succeed that day. Sometimes when we allow those fears take over our hearts, we will start falling even before we begin the journey of that day.
Personal all my life I have been afraid of some many things. Afraid of dept. Afraid of the unknown. Not knowing what tomorrow holds for me. Those fears has made me lose alot of things in my life. When we refuse to venture into something because of fear then we have More to lose than what we stand to gain. Fear thought me a very big lesson in life.
My days back in the village I was known as a girl that is always afraid. I can't tell how it started, but all I can remember vividly is that I was too afraid of every thing that I don't about it. You can't send me out of the house in the night because every where was dark. Of course no light in the village those days not like today that most of our village have electricity. The worse part of the whole thing is that fear could not allow me stand up from my bed in the night to go and pee. I started. I would have to wake someone up if I managed to stand up from my bed. Even when we are going out I can't be behind of in front, I will have to walk side by side with the other person.
FEAR GETTING WORSE.
It got to the time that my aunt came back from jos and she opted to take me with her to jos. I was so happy but just for a little while. In the midst of my happiness I was told that I can't go to jos because of my kind of fear. So, they suggested that I was going to see a spiritualist who will deliver me from the spirit of fear. This is a traditional kind of spiritualist. I don't know what to do other than go with them because I really wanted to follow my aunt to jos. When we went to see the spiritualist, we stood in a quee because a lot of people also came to see her. When we finally saw her, we were asked to bring one chicken and some tubbers of yam before the work will commence. After producing the item she held my left hand and use her teeth to remove something that looks like a piece of bottle. I thought that my problem has met it Waterloo. For where? That was the beginning of another problem. The fear increased to another level.
HOW MY DELIVERANCE CAME.
It continued till when I was sixteen. Someone introduced me to Christ and when I accepted the message he brought, he prayed for me and gave me his Bible because I told him that I don't have a Bible. I started reading the Bible every day and that was how I came to know the power in the word of God and in the name of Jesus. When I started praying I don't even know how all the problems stopped. My faith in God kept growing and I now know who I am and what God have said concerning me as his child. Jesus set me free and since then I have been free.
Freedom is sweet because I have since noticed that fear kept people in bondage and make them to do what they don't to do.
