This feisty old gentleman is called "Muschi". In German that's first of all a distinctly feminine word and then that is because it's literally like calling your cat "pussy"!
He used to be a stray and when he decided to seek a home with the elderly lady living next door to my grandmother, she didn't really check his gender before naming him. And she also doesn't see anything wrong with the word "pussy" apparently.
