It's a tricky line to translate, so it's interesting to see how those Latin scholars dealt with it. I notice that D. Spillan translated "spectatissimum" as "most satisfactory," which is closer to the Google translation, "most desirable." Your paraphrase works well and turns the Latin into clear English.
