This Silo art was the 29th one done back in 2019 and added to the Australian Silo Art Trail Collection. They even have an app. It is our first time that we have stopped for a photo. We may have driven past a couple during our travels but never had the time to stop.
I do not think I want to get serious about finding them as we are already addicted to collecting parkruns.
The Merriwa Silos are in the country, New South Wales, just west of New Castle in the Hunter region.
Sheep and a yellow canola crop are the main features being the main income for the area. The red socks on the sheep are now a tradition in the town's yearly festival promoting merino wool. The mural also features a Timber Slab hut used by the early settlers and a windmill, which almost every house used to have in the area to draw water underground.
My activity count today was all tourist walking and exploring.
