I usually do most of our shopping at Aldi as I find it easier and quicker. Every now and again, they do not have something, or we forget an item and have to pop in somewhere else.
The two major chains out here in Australia Woolworths and Coles are much bigger and have many more choices on a single item. There are massive differences in the prices too. This seems to turn a simple job into a massive process of calculations and label interpretation.
I was a bit shocked with the prices on sliced pineapple and almost felt insulted. It is so hard to understand how the locally made product is so much more.
Long story short, I bought the more expensive Golden Circle product. I have done many jobs at the pineapple cannery factory on the northside of Brisbane, and most of the pineppples are grown on the Sunshine Coast.
Activity wise, other than the shopping, it was just lots of house and yard chores.
