I have been meaning to fix the legs under this sleeper chair I built years ago for ages. I was lucky enough to get all the timber for free. A customer just wanted all these old railway sleepers gone. They had been using them as a wall. I just took two home in the work ute every afternoon for a couple of weeks. Finding time to make something with them was another story. Eventually, I quickly screwed a few together in the shape of some sort of game of throne chair.
Over the years a few pieces have come loose and got a bit wobbly. It felt good to finally get the time to fix a few things up. The battery chain saw came in very handy.
I used a car jack and lifted the whole thing up a bit and put some concrete pavers under neath as well, helped make it more stable.
The whole thing is very heavy. I would hate it to ever fall over in a storm, so I installed some unistut supports behind and some star pickets. It definitely not going anywhere now.
It still needs some sanding and a bit of paint, but it is way better than it was before.
