Hey Actifitters,
It was concert night yesterday, quite possibly the last outdoor one for the season. So just like last times, for our daily walk, we only went to the small forest behind the front yard. Kaia and Le Chat started together.
But it was very windy, and Le Chat was scared by the loud noise of the wind in the trees.
So we left her there and went deeper in the forest. We're starting to see a little yellow, but overall the fall colors are really not there yet.
Le Chat managed to get over her fear of the wind and caught up with us as we were walking back. Kaia spotted her long before I did, and of course joined her.
And they finished the last part together. I know I showed similar scenes many times, but I find it so cool!
Like I said, it was concert night. It was supposed to be a big metal night with Spiritbox, Gojira and the headliner Korn, one of my favorite bands, if not the favorite. But it started really bad! I started relatively early but got caught in traffic in the last 2 or 3 miles and it took me 2 hours to finally get there. Normally it shouldn't be more than 45 minutes... So I missed Spiritbox and arrived at the very last Gojira song. I was so pissed! Especially for Gojira that I really like, and of course they're my fellow Frenchmen.
Anyways, Korn was there to finish the night, and they delivered! We almost forgot about the bad start! We were closer than usual and got a good view of John Davis and Munky.
We also could see very well the bassist and drummer.
But Head was mostly behind that wall of amps and speakers. We could hear him on some of his infamous background screams but barely saw him.
Finally he got out of the shadows!
And of course the bagpipes!
They played for about an hour and a half including one encore. One of the best sets I saw in a while. They seemed very relaxed and yet produced a very good performance, with just enough talking between the songs. I guess they've been doing this for 30+ years (damn I'm so old!), and it shows. Obviously I have hundreds of photos, but I'll stop here for now. By the way, with one of my friends who lives in California, I'm trying to improvise a long week end to catch their show in LA next week🤞. Even more supporting bands and we won't miss them this time!
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
