Hey Actifitters,
Sunny but very hot and humid weather yesterday. And since we had another concert to go to in the evening, we again divided the day into two very distinct parts. As you probably could have guessed, the first part started with some time in the yard with Le Chat. Look at that face: "You don't want to mess with me right now..."
Then we went to the small forest behind the front yard. Kaia started her exploration on her own.
But she was quickly joined by Le Chat, who's getting bolder and follows us deeper into the forest. It's a small forest anyways.
Like I said, there was a bigger event in the evening with the Freaks on Parade tour. Four great bands in a nice outdoor venue, what more can we ask for? Well, dry weather would be good: we were worried about the storms. But we were late and by the time we made it, the rain was gone, and all we had left was cool lightning in the distance. We did miss Ministry and Filter though. I do like these bands but there was just no way to get there faster. We arrived just in time for Alice Cooper set. The place was absolutely packed, but we found a spot with a decent view of the scene.
Another older rock star who still can perform at really high level! To be honest, I don't even know many of their songs, except the very famous ones of course.
With of course the amount of "shock" you can expect from Alice Cooper, including a full size guillotine and fake beheading!
I'm not even sure how long they played, probably something like an hour, and it was pretty cool.
But like many people, I was mostly there for Rob Zombie of course. It's at least the third time I was seeing them live and they never disappoint!
No surprise: huge show with props and pyro of course.
Musically it's a little too much for my friend, but she admitted the live performance was impressive.
It seemed to be hits after hits. Of course I may be biased, but most of his songs are indeed hits.
They also played for about an hour I think with no encore.
After a great show, we were also lucky and got out of the parking lot in record time. Less than 30 minutes after the show ended, we were already back at my friend's place. I don't think that ever happened before.
Well, that was another good day. After a slow start to the outdoor concert season, we are catching up now with still several shows planned before winter.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
