Hey Actifitters,
Finally a much better weather yesterday: the night was cool, it wasn't too hot during the day, and most importantly it was much less humid. So much more pleasant! Heat or not, we found Le Chat sleeping on the dog bed on the deck.
She got up to observe Kaia during her first exploration of the yard.
Since it was cooler, we didn't have to wait too late in the afternoon for our daily walk. The sun wasn't too low yet when we arrived behind the front yard.
Kaia sensed something, what can it be?...
Of course it was Le Chat!
Obviously cute moments followed. Kaia looked in better form than the day before, but she did lie down more than I hoped.
We went to the forest next, making sure to keep the pace fairly slow.
Again Kaia seemed okay, but she did take some rest when I stopped for pictures, of mushrooms for instance.
Another proof she wasn't 100%, she didn't even jump in the only puddle we found.
But she's a tough dog, she followed through and just took breaks whenever she could.
I felt she was strong enough for a quick Cubiverse vaults detour. The sun was still bright.
I forgot about the closed road where the tree fell a few days ago.
Luckily it didn't matter because we took the shortcut through the woods.
It had been a while we didn't do a full walk in the forest, so we made it last.
But I also wanted to go for a run, so we made our way back home, where as often Le Chat was waiting for us in the front yard, and joined us for the very end. Kaia did good on that walk, but she still seems to be in pain. So a visit to the vet is still needed. I didn't call yesterday but I did today, and they gave me an appointment for Saturday. Hopefully they can figure it out and it's not too serious.
Like I said, I went for a run, about 4 miles at a decent pace. Not great, but not bad. I need to crank up my training. For once, I want to prepare the Detroit half marathon correctly. About 3 months left, so plenty of time to get the training going, but I shouldn't wait too much.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
