Hey Actifitters,
Plenty of sun yesterday, so after a late wake-up, the plan was to spend as much time outdoors as possible. Of course, it started with a quick walk around the yard again.
But we quickly left Le Chat enjoying the sun by herself, and went for a much longer walk. That bottom photo just says it all: "Leave me alone..."
As usual, we made a first stop at the small forest behind the front yard.
But for once, with plenty of daylight left, it was a good opportunity to go to the real forest. It was a nice surprise to still find a few remaining fall colors.
The light in the golden hour is just so beautiful!
Kaia didn't want to stop, but a few poses were a must.
This kind of forest views with the sun in the far background are some of my favorites.
I even tried to catch the sunset through that hole in a tree. But no luck.
It was perfect for a few more cool Kaia's photos though.
We even went off-trail for a bit, to find more colors, and also check the site with all the broken trees from the storms a few months ago.
At this point, I think we were pretty much in somebody's backyard (so great to have your yard open directly into this forest!), but I couldn't pass up on this last view.
Overall, we walked in the forest for about two hours, by far the longest walk since Kaia's surgery. We didn't cover a lot of distance though, that was obviously not the point. We just enjoyed the nature!
On the way back, it was getting dark, but not before a few last pinkish colors in the clouds.
And that was about it. Once again, none of the planned yard or house work got done, but the weather was too great not to just enjoy it.
As always, thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow.
