A dear greeting to all lovers of physical activities that populate the mythical community of Actifit.
The first rays of the sun at 8:00 am were immediately very strong and intense. This first peak of the current heat wave recorded already 35 degrees in mid-morning but with a lower than average humidity percentage. The heat was, therefore, very strong but not overwhelming.
Gaetano and I immediately celebrate our iamalivechallenge number 398 we are #alive and immediately operational to enjoy a bath in the early hours of the day when the beach is more pleasant. Without too much crowding and without the rays of the sun perpendicular on our heads.
I tried to make a reportage of a small architectural masterpiece of the province of Naples or the church of San Ciro in Portici but the mass had already begun and with the small church I would be immediately noticed and accompanied without much hesitation.
We are on a lovely descent on the sea in the middle of the palace of Portici and the grove of the city’s Bourbon botanical garden and the scenography finds a thousand ideas to enrich my digital photographic archive.
The descent into the village of the port of Granatiello is quite heavy and already in the early morning there is a large turnout towards the characteristic municipal beach located under the building of the former National Research Center.
Even in the middle of the port the water is crystal clear situation that is a real miracle considering that until 10 years ago were the most polluted waters in the world.
From afar the spectacular Skyline of the Hills of the city of Naples delights the eyes of the observer. The blue sea and the blue sky bring the soul of one who observes in reconciliation with nature and earthly life.
Note out of tune is the invasion of the horizon by the sands of the Sahara desert not to be confused with the smog of the city.
From the cliff we observe how much water is on the face of the Earth and when the observer is small compared to the world he inhabits.
It’s half past eight and you can immediately see how many morning swimmers there are. Evidently the news of the heat wave spread rather quickly.
The spot where the shadow still falls on the shore is the ideal spot to install our umbrella.
As you can see we are in an area where almost 400 years ago there was a tremendous lava flow of one of the most disastrous eruptions of the terrible Mount Vesuvius. In fact, the sand is completely volcanic black in color. Obviously it’s the one that heats up the most so we’ve all been in the water.
The few empty spaces that there are in Mezzogiorno are the bathers who begin to return home to prepare Sunday lunch and we also begin to climb slowly.
Two seagulls frolicking on the wall are also inspired by the view of that magnificent and unique panorama that can be enjoyed from the pier on the port of Portici.
Though I don’t know how they can stand under the beating sun.
Our destination is that building in the center of the photo or the metro station 2 stop Portici that will take us home directly from the sea.
Once in Barra, the grandmother will accompany us home to finally prepare the long Sunday lunch and rest at home in the shade of the home hearth.
Finally, I would like to thank all my friends from the tribe of #Alive and all the new friends who happened between the lines of my stories for reading my thoughts and see you at the next #actifit report.
