Here I am making such a blended post that is a TBT from 2015 when I used to be a runner, and my favorite place to run was the Costanera de Asunción, a long street beside the Paraguay River, bordering downtown.
I used to start near Asunción's Port and, in the best of cases, reach *General Santos Avenue where it ends (or starts).
The Costanera de Asunción is the ideal place for sports like biking, running, walking, or even yoga or tai chi, thanks to the fresh air coming from the river and the long path that helps you almost not have to stop.
There are also benches to sit and watch the sunset or just to talk with friends and have dinner or some tereré.
So, if you are going to Asunción, this is a good choice, as you can see the López's Palace, a very interesting building with two faces: one that looks toward the river and the other that faces Paraguayo Independiente Street.
