In the evening park | Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Round 153

in Shadow Hunters11 months ago

Hello, friends.
The week of the last winter month - February - has passed. Despite the night frosts, spring is already approaching in Southern Siberia. During the day, the temperature, while timid and uncertain, but overcomes the zero mark, the sun's rays melt the snow and ice and puddles and ice holes appear on the lakes.

And since puddles of standing water appear, you can find reflections in them. Therefore, to hunt for reflections, you just need to take your camera and go for a walk in the park.

In lakes, polynyas appeared where water springs gush out at the bottom, and away from them the ice are still quite strong, which fishermen take advantage of. There is an opinion among fishermen that the closer you sit on an ice floe to clean water, the better the fish will bite. Last week a tragedy occurred in Krasnoyarsk - an elderly fisherman made a hole on an ice floe close to the water, and the part of the ice floe where he was sitting was torn off and carried down the river. Perhaps the ice floe would have washed ashore or rescuers would have arrived on a hovercraft, but the fisherman was unlucky, the ice floe crashed into the bridge support and collapsed, the fisherman drowned.

These are the sad thoughts that came to me when I saw the local fishermen. Here, of course, there is a lake and the water is stagnant, but it seems to me that no one is safe from the fact that the ice falls through, and the caught fish is unlikely to be a consolation in the event of a tragedy.

Picture perfect shot and reflections are way better than reality.

Sad for the fisherman who drowned while fishing, how do you know if the lake has soft ice or hard?

Ice can be very treacherous; at the beginning of winter, even thin ice is usually quite strong, but in the spring, even thick ice can be porous and dangerous. It is also dangerous when the wind drives a wave and the ice begins to bend.

Do people use safety ropes when drilling in the lake's frozen surface?

Most fishermen do not use any safety equipment; people do not believe that anything can happen to them.
