My share of good and bad date - wk 215

Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome.🤗

I have had my own share of both good and bad dates.

I remember one time my aunt asked me to go on a date with this particular guy whose is a medical doctor. She said the guy had been disturbing her about me, and she didn't want to be the one to tell him. I said no; I wasn't interested in any relationship at that moment, she said I should accept the date and tell him myself.

So we fixed a date to meet at a restaurant. before I got there, he was already there waiting for me. The moment I saw him, I already knew there was not going to be a second date because of how shabby he was dressed, but I maintained calmness and smiled as we exchanged pleasantries.

We placed an order, and while we were waiting for our order to come, we got talking, and the guy kept talking about his days as a medical student, how he wore one particular brown trouser for months because he had no time, and how boring his life was; he never got the time to ask any lady out. At some point, I spaced out and was thinking of something else, smiling and looking straight at his face as though I was paying attention to what he was saying.

The conversation was so one-sided, boring, and awkward; it was just about him. There was no connection or chemistry between us.

After sitting there for about 25–30 minutes that felt like 24 hours, I told him I needed to go home as there was a rule in my house not to stay out till past 8 p.m.

I have also had good dates that were so fun and interesting that I didn't want them to end.

One of them was when my former roommate's friend at the university gave her cousin my contact information, and he called me to say he was coming to the city I was in for a business transaction and would like us to meet before he leaves.

I asked him to meet me in an open garden that was close to where I was staying, as I was not in the mood to go far that day.

We exchanged pleasantries and got talking about life generally. The conversation was so engaging and meaningful that I didn't know how far time had gone.

I had told myself before I left the house that I was going to spend forty minutes—at most, an hour—but I couldn't believe we had spent close to three hours talking and laughing by the time I checked my watch.

The humor, thoughtfulness, and good communication made the date worth it.

Some people love to go on and on about myself. My friend would say that they pprovanly love the sound of their voice. Lol.
The doctor guy didn't do well. Or maybe he wasn't so good with going on dates, and his anxiety made me ramble.
The way you got yourself off of him was smart. Did he ask to meet up again after that day?

Yea he called to know if I had gotten home and for us to meet again. I told him no, maybe he got the message from the tune of my voice and never called again

When a guy takes me out on a date and all he could was ramble on and on about himself for the whole duration, that's a red flag for me.

The reason for a date is to get to know each other and maybe connect but having a one sided conversation is not good. It makes the date boring.

The date was so boring my friend

Lol, I can imagine
