Becoming a Busy Bee

Hello Hive Bees

How are you doing? I talked for the last two days to @zakludick about his busy Bees project. After clearing some questions from me we concluded:

I have to become a busy bee 🐝

My main goal would be to post every week now and to become a dolphin. This isn't too much and even @zakludick thought, I can do it.

I created the post banner on the top for future posts. Thanks to nightcafe.studio and canva.com
The bee lady was also created with nightcafe.

Normally I post with Ecency but this time it's InLeo. I'm already not happy with it, since I can't see the div container at the right place, like I see in the Ecency editor. I like to see what I get in the end.

I'm a bee!

Thanks for reading and bee active!

Welcome to BB🐝! Love your images!

I sent you an Ecency curation vote, although you will notice that the bot gives out smaller votes for posts that aren't published using Ecency!

Thanks! No problem... I will mostly use ecency. Still my favourite frontend to post.

That sounds like an interesting project. I'll check it out a little. Happy busy-be(e)ing!

Thanks! Should be a good project for you name wise. 🤣

LOL

Talk to zakludick. He is the bee master or something like that. 🤣

Hey there @oceanbee. You are welcome to join the Busy Bees. We have some spots left on the Roster for Minnows like yourself. You post frequent enough.

Its all about growing together!

Would you like to join?

I kinda do just hesitating a little because I'm not sure how the busy bees are organized. I found the list of bees in one of your post but under the hashtag are only a very few posts, so how does the project actually work? There is no community, is there?

@zakludick Well, I finally found the community - let's just say that the search function on Hive is garbage (bee or bees brings up other communities, I had to enter the full name).

Anyways, I subscribed and would like to join the BusyBees. Maybe I can help out a bit here and there, too (photos, art, blogging) just don't ask me for AI generated stuff 😆

There is a Busy Bee community, but currently we have not started using it for anything... yet.

The concept started as a weekly activity and account growth for just myself, then included my family's accounts. Later, friends whom I onboarded we added to the list.

Much later it expanded to include more accounts from all over South Africa but then later it became an international list.

It's been going for nearly 2 years. When Iit became international we voted on the name.

Then the next step is the current goal of expanding to become 100 active members.

First we will fill the empty slots. Then we will replace the inactive accounts.

Any more questions?

Guess you didn't see my other reply 😄. So, yeah, I found the community that is waiting to be lived.

I get that you want to get to the magic 100 - so count me in. What else can we do, except for posting, until we get there? To spread the word I would suggest that more members use the #busybees tag and maybe crosspost into the community for starters? Though I wouldn't recommend that at a later stage.

sorry, I'm an organization nut 🤣

Cool @oceanbee. You are in!

Sorry I only saw this much later because I was so busy today so I just needed to finish the post.

I will add you in on the next one. We are in this for the long haul! 💪💪💪🍻🐝

Your suggestions are great.

Yes, right now I want to collect as much of our Busy 100 number together. You can already start engaging with people on the Busy Bee list and this will build our Hive stronger. Build reciprocal growth.

We have some plans for the near future!

Welcome to the Busy Bees!

Yeah! 🐝🐝

Welcome to BusyBees ! I'm totally with you about the Leo front end. I want so much to like it, but it feels like it needs a lot of work to get it up to the standard of some of the other front ends (although Threads is pretty awesome, and I guess has been their focus for development for a while).

I find I use Ecency and PeakD about equally but for different things. Ecency is better for me for notifications, but for me PeakD has the edge when it comes to creating posts. Most especially, the way their template system works is t5he best on Hive. I can create a template, put in standard blocks of text, paragraph break images etc, then add all the tags. It makes the posts I do regularly so much easier and quicker !

I totally agree. I tried Peakd before and it stands out for sure. I'm using ecency for multiple reasons. The people in ecency discord were the kindest and helped me the most in the beginning. The editor works good and I use the drafts and snippets. Also ecency has an app on the phone which I often use at work. Any other frontend has this? Inleo is just for the threads. Oh and I use the engage app on my pc often which helps that I don't miss any comments.

One of the things I love about Hive is that you actually get a choice of front ends, so you can pick the one (or ones) that work best for you, rather than being shoe-horned into a specific way of working. But there are definitely some things I should look at in Ecency that I haven't tried yet !

That's exactly what I like too. It's the same with Nostr. You can use what suits you the best. I'm using noStrudel on my PC and Amythyst on my phone.
