Keith had planned to attend a friend's wedding by noon. She was also running late to pick up her kids from the nearby daycare. She had placed a call to Clara who assured her that she will meet them at the venue.
Just about few poles away from the daycare a trailer broke down and occupied a greater part of the road. This impacted on the available space on the lane. It was transporting cows to a nearby ranch.
Keith had to slow down to allow them transfer the animals to another waiting vehicle. This also ate up a few minutes of her remaining time. Her kids observed that the cows look bulky and frightening coupled with the unpleasant lump at their backs.
They also observed that the cows hardly move fast as most of them appear to be tired from ostensibly a long journey. Their handlers were however swift with the transloading and in a matter of minutes they were through and a towing van came and took away the broken down trailer out of the way. This also eased the flow of traffic.
Keith got home a bit late, dropped her kids and then started making her way to the venue of the wedding. She knows she will be there well behind schedule.
