A wonderful place for a Wednesday walk, I love the autumn landscapes
What a great discovery, great that you were in this significant place.
It doesn't surprise me that it is one of the oldest trees in the forest, those large roots are formed over time.

        Funny is that I know that part of the woods well, I just never noticed the huge roots on this tree before. It is absolutely amazing.
