Living To Fight Another Day

Hello and welcome back to my space. It is so amazing to see that, in a few hours, January 2024 will be gone and gone forever.

Before I entered this year, one of the goals I set for myself was to grow my Hive account. I knew that meant being ready to create more posts, and also to engage with more people.

Taking stock of my activities this month, I can see that I am still very far from where I am aiming for especially with respect to creating posts. So in the month of February I will be paying serious attention to that. To that end, I have decided to create a content schedule to help me in being more consistent. Perhaps, I will share that in a future post.

I can however confidently say that my engagement is better than what it used to be. I intend to still work on myself in that area though.

I think one of the things that has helped me wake up to responsibility on Hive is checking my progress against other Hivers ' progress. For instance, This post by @zakludick served as a great eye opener. You see, there is something that stirs in you the desire to do better when you see others doing far better than you because they put in the work.

One other thing I am working on is to increase the power of my votes. I can only do this if my HP is increased. I missed the January Hive Power Up Day, but I tried powering up little amounts of Hive to get to where I am. Tomorrow, being first of February 2024, I will be participating in HPUD, and then again see where I would reach before the end of the month.

All in all, I can still give myself a pat on the back. I am moving at my own pace which may seem too slow to another person. But as long as I am alive, I will continue moving.

For me, this is a journey. He who fights and runs away lives to fight another day, right? I will continue to celebrate my progress on this blockchain no matter how small it looks.
