So friends, today was a pretty overcast day. The high temp was about 67Β°F / 19.44Β°C with a bit of a wind from the North, so I was not out too long but .. I had put a new bike computer on the Black bike and wanted to test it out so .. "A quick ride over to the Park"!
And since I didn't think...
Muddy tires!
This is a view of a "Willet" on a stone by the water,
A little closer,
it's standing on one leg, must be cold!
A look over at the J.F.K.Causeway with a bird (Pelican?) In the air,
And another - this is a Seagull,
Meanwhile, on the ground this one came right up! I think it thought I may have some food,
Here is some "Stilts" and a "Laughing Gull" with a dead fish that washed up on the shore,
And just before I left I saw this "Laughing Gull on a pole", watching me,
Now that would have been my #aliveandthriving day, but, thus haooened too...
Now, this is a neighbor. He is a "raging" alcoholic - the worst I have seen in 66 years of life. I overheard and have seen he has been in a bad drunk for days, blackouts, talking to people not there, etc...
I am so "very, very" happy I quit drinking in 2010, and I have a message for people. If you know anyone like this - urge them to get some help, because if not...
Yep, the "Meat Wagon" is taking him away. And... Besides bad mental issues, he also has health problems as well from drinking. Not a good way to go.
And enough of that, but it's such a waste of life, I wanted to take a stand of sorts - and out out some awareness on the issue - since I had a chance!
