Now, this is a neighbor. He is a "raging" alcoholic - the worst I have seen in 66 years of life. I overheard and have seen he has been in a bad drunk for days, blackouts, talking to people not there, etc...

It's heartbreaking to see someone go through that, but your perspective and experience can truly make a difference.
Hopefully, it reaches someone who needs to hear it and motivates them to seek help before it's too late.
