To avoid any abuse we have set the rules for this contest so that your starting stake can never be lower than your previous closing stake plus reward, otherwise people would be able to unstake and then stake again to get a higher reward, this is how we prevent that.
In your case it means that your closing stake needs to be higher than your confirmed starting stake in order to get a reward.
