It's super exhausting to be on the phone all day just as it is with any other hard work, there are just different levels of exhaustion I can say. So making sure one gets some rest as one go about using devices, is important. Our phones and devices have slowly become what we use most often as a lot of opportunities and fun have been made available in them.
For me, it's pretty much when I'm on my phone that I find digital wellness. I can't seem to be without my phone for a whole day if I try to.
I wonder how people do it when I see them log out or unplug from their devices on a day they choose and decide they will only log back in or plug in a day after or many hours later... It doesn't mean, I don't take breaks or good rest from my devices though.
With my phone, I work to earn, watch movies, listen to music, make videos and take shots worthy of keep for memory sake. I do all that and they seem to be a part of my lifestyle, it is mostly what I do daily so it's less weird to say I don't get to rest from my device very easily.
To keep a wellness while I'm too busy with my devices, I tend to do a few things and it is mainly to take care of my eyes and ears with the light coming out from the device being used. I reduce bright lights emitting from my devices and I try not to go beyond the limit given when I use the ear phone.
I take these measures when I can't do without my phone but there are times I let the phone be for a longer while so I can rest enough and I always feel better after. Recently, I've been trying to treat my eyes, they ache more often than usual and my devices are prime suspect so I've been more careful how I use them especially at night.
It's funny how a lot of us, or maybe some of us, have more time to use our devices at night but it is at that time we shouldn't even go near our devices so we could rest our eyes and body well enough for the next day. I've tried to limit the time I spend on my devices at night, it has helped a lot and I believe others who have tried it knows this too.
Unplugging from my devices isn't easy but I do it for my health, recharge and repeat the process every now and then. No, I don't have a particular day I decide to unplug from my devices totally for a wholesome break. Maybe I should try that someday, don't know when lol.
