Hello, @oadissin. Thank you so much for sharing the beautiful paintings of the people dancing on sticks as they did in their cultures. The peoples of this area paint beautiful likenesses of the people when they danced on the sticks. I love learning about other cultures world wide and looking at the tradition passed down for generations. What is the name of the culture paintings on the wall? Cotonou people of West Africa? Greetings,
Thank you so much for your keen interest in the culture of the Western Kingdoms of the Sub-Saharan region on the continent.
Africa has culture of the people dancing on the sticks during special event in a kingdom such as royal birth, weeding, death or great success achievement.
Many tribes in the region has the same style of celebration, but with slight differences in the rhythms or the use of words to chant the glory of warriors from the past.
Cotonou city is on the path of rapid modernization, yet the traditional celebrations are the event that gathers all native and tourists.

Thank you so much @oadissin This is so wonderful that the Tribes of people hold on to their traditions that help them feel happy and connected to each other and not isolated like in modern civilization. Hanging on to the traditions is very important for the human soul. 😊Tourism is wonderful for the economy of the people. 😊
