Hello, everyone. In this post, I'll show you one of my BRAWL battles where precision is required in determining which monsters to send into battle with a limited mana cap.
The rules for battles in which monsters lose their special abilities will be covered in this post. As a result, it is solely dependent on the summoner's abilities and basic attack abilities.
What if you're up against a battle with a mana cap of 14 points?
Two rules apply in this battle: BACK TO BASICS and HOLY PROTECTION. The elements of life, earth, and death are among those that can be used.
Naturally, this is a difficult decision because the monster that must be prepared must be able to attack in one round. And if a monster cannot attack its opponent in one round, it loses the opportunity to attack.
Monsters with magical abilities have the most potential for use as enemies in BACK-TO-BASIC battles. so that even if you lose your ability, magical attacks can still attack your opponent even if they are not in the lead. I predicted that the opponent would use an earth summoner, OBSIDIAN, so I summoned a DEATH summoner, THADDIUS BROOD, who could reduce the power of the opponent's monster's magical attack.
There is an additional rule, HOLY PROTECTION, which allows it to delay 1 attack before injuring a monster on the battlefield.
My preference is to include tank monsters with high health but low mana points. and my selection is PELACOR DECEIVER. A speed of 4 points and a health of 7 points are sufficient to withstand enemy attacks.
The second option is a magical monster that can attack second. I chose the magic monster because if the tank monster is knocked out of first place, the magic monster will still advance and attack. Of course, this does not apply to ranged monsters, who cannot attack if they are in first position.
My final choice is XENITH ARCHER, a monster with arrow attacks that only requires 2 mana points. This can open an attack gap by damaging the opponent's divine shield with a 1-point arrow attack.
So it appears that the enemy used all of the mana points available in this battle. It's just that the summoner makes extensive use of mana points. The enemy relied on magical monsters from the formations sent out. It's just that this formation ignores the number of health points for each monster, so as my monsters launch attacks, the opponent's monsters are knocked out one by one due to low health points.
You can follow the fight's progress by clicking on the following link.
Several things can be learned from this battle regarding the BACK TO BASICS rules in small point mana battles.
- Use a tank with melee attacks and a high health point total. This is useful for deflecting your opponent's attacks for 1 or 2 rounds.
- Use magical monsters in the battle formation's center. We lose the ability to attack if we use melee monsters. So a monster with magical attacks is the best option.
- Position ranged monsters in the rear of the battle formation. This opens the door for attacks from behind. There are no snipe attacks in the BACK TO BASICS rules, so our monsters will be safe from attacks.
As a result, this is my post about the BACK TO BASICS ruleset. The combination of this ruleset and other additional rules in the battle will make predicting the outcome of the fight difficult. Continue to fight hard to get the most out of this ruleset.
