I've never actually seen one of these in person, I wasn't in the US when it came out, I was living in South America at the time. But the movie made it a popular item, it's pretty cool considering it was just meant to be a movie prop!

me too! born and raised in Eastern Europe, behind the so called 'Iron Curtain' - not much band were willing (and allowed to come on tour here. Intresting gigs / real band acquaintances started happening for me only in late 90-2000-es. But as a teen, I experienced 1st gigs of Pink Floyd and Depeche Mode in Moscow, hehe.
