Hello fans,
During the Olympics players will take part in an event, which I think might the most exciting and engaging. 16 participants of this season's Play-offs will be divided into 4 teams.
Players of the team will run in sequence, until they achieve a score of 100. Only when a player reaches the finish line, their teammate picks up the baton and runs their bit. The team to first achieve 4x100 wins the event.
My ask for Season 17 Semifinalists (@browery, @fredkese, @manuvert and @merthin will be captains of the Relay teams) is to pick a Substitute.
Before the event, the captains will be able to decide which 4 players from a 5-members team will take part and in which order.
4 x 100 Relay Teams
The teams are based on the Season 17 brackets. Each team is composed of one semifinalist, the quarter-finalist eliminated by them and the two players eliminated in the Round of 16 by the former duo.
So, from the semifinalists perspective - the players you have defeated here, will be your teammates!
Substitutes come from among the players who played in the group phase.
Handicaps (ie. the starting score of a player) are based on the following formula:
- Season 17 semifinalists: no handicap
- Season 17 quarter-finalists: half of their score in the Season 17 quarterfinal
- Season 17 Round of 16 players: their score in the said Round
- Substitutes: the average match score of all active players who ended the tournament in the group phase (11)

Players who have been stricken thru didn't participate actively in the group phase and therefore are replaced on the list by the best players from Qualifiers. Captains may still pick them, though.
Schedule
The first player of each team will start running on Friday, July 26. The next picks up the baton when the first finished (ie. their accumulated daily score goes over 100).
Note: because of time differences and delays in reports, the result of Day N will be published on Day N+2, typically in the morning of the CEST time zone. If, however, a player finishes his stage on Day N+1, the next one must be ready to start immediately after them - but this will be known only on Day N+3
The event will be deemed complete either when 3 teams finish the relay or on Sunday, August 11 - whichever comes first
