Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome 🤗
You can't pour from an empty cup; take care of yourself first.

It's usually easy for us to find ourselves trying to meet the needs of others, mostly if these people are people we love dearly, like our family members or beloved friends.
I have found myself most often than not, putting my family in the front line while forgetting my own needs. This is mostly done unconsciously. The moment I know my family has a need, I just look for ways to help out.
But there's a balance in all of this. I had to make a conscious decision to achieve this. Because I know how much I make every month, I don't just throw money into the air. I have a budget for every month; there are months that my expenses are usually on the high side.
If you are not in my budget for that month, forget about getting money from me. The only thing that would make me make an exception to this is if it's really an emergency.
Same goes with my time. Time is the only thing that ones you lose it; you can't get it back. Gone are the days I was always giving my precious time to people that weren't worth it.
If you must have my time, then it must be worth it, even when I am not doing anything at that time; I would rather use it to rest to rejevunate, watch movies, and spend it with my kids.
I have this mindset that in everything I do, I must come first. Before I take care of anyone, I must take very good care of myself.
So the only way to strike a balance to this is to be selfish and love yourself first and more.
