Career |- QC Community Weekly Contest #78

During my programme at the University, I already started the practical aspect of my career. As a communication Art student, I had the privilege to work as an intern in the radio industry and an amateur photographer. Although I didn't do this for long because it was just for a period of three months as instructed by the school so we could stay focused on my studies.

My passion for communication is the first thing driving my career. I remember in my year one how my first radio show called "Do You Know" began. This started when the editing manager felt my voice needed to be heard more on radio and he discussed the idea with me which I bought instantly. I was eager to learn and build my voice. I must say the experience I gained from that show opened my understanding to learn so much about broadcasting.

As an intern during my IT program, I embarked on adventures that were both fun and challenging. The whole experience in the radio industry was informative, educative, I was able to meet high profile individuals for interviews, connect with listeners through talk show sessions. Hearing stories from different individuals on a daily basis made everything a wonderful experience. All these helped me stay connected, be a good listener and also build my self confidence.

This career is one I still plan to further in the future and become a newscaster. I know it is a journey of a thousand miles but I must surely continue with steps to achieve this dream. I'm currently looking further to having my master degree in Mass Communication.
