RE: Birthday, Work and Some Fishing

in #birthday21 days ago (edited)

The river here is quite a dangerous place for unskilled fishermen.

Any larger river can be dangerous. Currents and undertows can take lives of even experienced swimmers.

The big fish are in the middle of the river at about four to five meters deep.

I use to watch a show called River Monsters. I learned from that show that Thailand had large freshwater stingrays in some of its rivers. I think I saw Mekong and red tail catfish there as well. All fish I would love to fish for and catch.

Oh the ice cream got hit yesterday. It's about half gone, come on over and have the rest, hehe

I think that ice cream has gone by now.
Two months ago, a local fisherman disappeared from the river with his long boat. He’s very experienced fisherman. He phoned his son to get him some gas as the engine was low on gas. By the time his son arrived at the river, his father’s boat was gone.
The boat was found over 100 kilometers away by some villagers. He was drown in the river. The news came as a shock to the village. The currents were too powerful that day.

Nope still some left, I've been busy enough and it has slipped my mind, haha.

Oh yes many happenings of drowning in the river near me as well. Flowing rivers can be dangerous and caution should always be on one minds!
