This is my submission to an awesome contest sponsored by The Alliance!!
For this contest, we want photos of your decorations! How easy is that? These can be Christmas decorations or your tree, Kwanza, your menorah, your light display, whatever and what not you may pull out of the mouse turd covered dusty boxes and storage containers each year that you love so much. The rules are super easy and simple. Here's what you need to do to qualify as an entrant this year:
I have been trying to stay active... Whether it's in all my servers, or of course, in my community. But man... I love all things Christmas!! Now then; this isn't going to be a "show off" post. But instead, another way to spread some love, positive energy, and of course... Christmas spirit!!
~Knock Knock~
In true "Trailer Trash" style... Can't go having your door not decorated! We used those Command Strips to hang these two ornaments. The wreath is a little weathered, and we ended up giving the Candy Canes to the stepson for his door. But each year, we still hang the wreath on the door. I think we picked both of these up on sale at Big Lots back in 2016 or maybe 2017? Either way... we all love to look at them, and the only bad thing is when the birds decide to use them as their "poo target practice"!
~Hello there Tink!~
As many of you know... my stepdaughter and her three kids live with us. My stepdaughter is a single mom and didn't have anywhere to go when she was hurt at work and lost her job. We take care of family... yes? So we let them move in until she could find a place for her and the kids. But before they moved in, we started a tradition with my granddaughter; she simply loved (and still does) Tinker Bell. So when I found the ornament above, I just had to get it for her. We don't put it on the tree now, in hopes that it won't get broken, and will stay in perfect shape; hopefully, she can start her own traditions when she gets older, and hang it on her family's Christmas tree.
Oh Christmas Tree
It has been quite a few years since we put our Christmas tree up. Between lack of space. Combined with too many things always going on. I am sure you all know we have been (and continue to) dealing with issues with our mobile home. We did what we could to try and fix things up. But these grandkids that live with us, wouldn't give up until we put our tree up this year. I had planned on submitting this for the Reflection Hunters Challenge. But I guess not doing so happened for a reason... I was able to share it with you all in this contest post. The furniture behind the tree is actually a waterbed set... that's the dresser you see with the mirror. We had to move a lot of the furniture in our bedroom to our front room, when our family was here helping us repair our floors. We were going to move it back to the bedroom... but not being able to fix the floor. Combined with it being so darn heavy... yeah we left it in the front room! Makes a nice backdrop for photos... right?
Our Angel
This will be the final photograph of an ornament. Many of you might also remember our dear granddaughter we lost to Leukemia several years ago. (July 2nd, 2012 - September 20th, 2013). She passed away peacefully at our home. Surrounded by family and loved ones. Sadly, she passed before being able to see this ornament... Of all the things that made her smile. Angels were the one thing she absolutely loved. This is one of those fiber-led ornaments, that changes colors slowly... Like the Tinker Bell ornament, we also have this put away for safekeeping. But we do place it on our tree at Christmas, to honor her memory, and of course... to pause and remember how she brought love, and joy, to all of us here... She's with the Angels now. And we all can't help but get a little teary-eyed when we look at this beautiful ornament; quite fitting, wouldn't you agree?
It was not my intention to end things on a sad note. Nor to try and garner some kind of sympathy for your votes. But then... you all knew that lol... as most of you have known me since 2017. I think the main thing about this contest. Is it allows us to share each of our individual traditions, ideals, and means of celebration. for Christmas, New Years, or whatever the holidays mean... to you! This is an awesomesauce contest... and I would like to thank @enginewitty, and @thealliance, for letting us share our Christmas vibes. I am looking forward to seeing all of those ornaments!
By the way... As you all know, I believe very strongly in the energy @crrdlx spreads across the blockchain. You know; when you think of the LUV Token, he is the creator. So I am going to be pitching in 135 LUV Tokens to the prize pool! This will allow one winner to share 1 LUV Token, with three people once a day! Here's the details about the LUV Token... Just Click Here. I will get with @enginewitty once the winner/s have been chosen!
