Today I have had a listless day, I would like from time to time to have some more interesting things to tell about my personal life, but then I remember that I am the type of person who enjoys the tranquility and calm, so I usually enjoy days like Today's. Sometimes I think that if I lived a few centuries ago, I might as well have withdrawn from the world and become some kind of hermit, I wonder if I could do it in the current time in my native Venezuela.
Today we were waiting for the transport truck for the domestic gas cylinders to pass by, but they warned by message that the day could not be done today, due to the delays in the supply, today (which was when the domestic gas tanker arrived to the filling plant in this area) were serving people who have been waiting their turn since last week, so our sector was pending for a later date. I had to go out to buy groceries, but my brother and I are getting sleepy, between the cold (which doesn't help us) and our night work schedules, well, we don't have the urge to go out much, plus we felt a little wrong.

Hoy he tenido un día apático, me gustaría de vez en cuando tener algunas cosas más interesantes para contar de mi vida personal, pero luego recuerdo que soy el tipo de persona que disfruta de la tranquilidad y la calma, así que suelo disfrutar de días como el de hoy. En ocasiones pienso que si yo viviera unos siglos atrás, bien podría haberme retirado del mundo y convertido en alguna clase de ermitaño, me pregunto si podría hacerlo en el tiempo actual en mi #Venezuela natal.
Hoy estábamos esperando que pasara el camión de transporte para los cilindros de gas doméstico, pero avisaron por mensaje que no se podría hacer hoy la jornada, debido a que con los retrasos en el suministro, hoy (que fue cuando llegó la cisterna de gas doméstico a la planta de llenado de esta zona) estaban atendiendo a gente que ha estado esperando su turno desde la semana pasada, así que nuestro sector quedó pendiente para una fecha posterior. Tenía pendiente salir a comprar víveres, pero mi hermano y yo nos estamos quedando adormecidos, entre el frío (que no nos ayuda) y nuestros horarios de trabajo nocturno, pues, no tenemos el impulso de salir mucho, además de que nos sentíamos un poco mal.

Me llamó la atención en la cita que se mencione que el invento tiene mas de 1700 años, pero es que si se trata del Siglo XI antes de la era común en que vivimos, entonces la suma de años me da mucho mas, tengo que sumar los 2023 años que tenemos en el calendario de la era actual, mas los 1100 años antes del inicio de nuestra era común, así que la distancia en años que tenemos con ese invento (si las fechas dadas se toman como ciertas) serían unos 3123 años… evidentemente que si tendrían razón de que es mas de 1700 años, pero estaría tan lejos de la cantidad de años que digo que me hace pensar que puede tratarse de un error de traducción.
Por otra parte, el hecho de que el paraguas y la sombrilla compartan su origen, yo lo encontré razonable, por otra parte, el hecho de que fuera un artículo que marcaba estatus y era un accesorio de cierto lujo, pues también lo encuentro razonable. Saltando a tiempos más recientes, con la expansión del comercio y la popularización de accesorios de moda entre distintas clases sociales, ha y que reconocer que el paraguas fue un artículo muy exitoso, incluso más que otros accesorios que han perdido terreno y en algunas circunstancias se desaparecen por completo, pero es que es un artículo que conjuga un fin práctico con una condición de ser un símbolo de estatus.
Pero, ¿sabes una cosa curiosa? No pude encontrar ninguna razón de porque se celebra este día en la fecha de hoy, simplemente hay quienes señalan que fue una cosa de las redes sociales y el mercadeo establecido por algunas marca de fabricantes en años recientes, de verdad que no sé, puede que ese sea el origen, pero no lo garantizo.

En lo personal, soy de los que son muy pragmáticos, uso un pequeño paraguas plegable y de cuerpo retráctil, bastante barato y sin muchas pretensiones, el tipo de paraguas que hace el trabajo, pero que su tiempo de vida no es algo que resulta muy largo, lo he cuidado por años y me ha durado mucho mas de lo que el fabricante podría haber esperado. Antes de ese paraguas, solía usar un paraguas de tipo bastón, con un cuerpo metálico reforzado y una cubierta de tela impermeable negra, se veía un poco intimidante y debo reconocer que al menos en una oportunidad me sirvió como herramienta de disuasión, pues hace años estaba llegando a casa de noche y una persona rara me siguió desde la parada de transporte público, pero digamos que en ese entonces yo tenía unos reflejos decentes, y cuando esa persona sospechosa se acercó de manera inadecuada, recibió un ‘gentil toque’ en su cabeza que lo dejó descansando a un lado del camino.
Soy una persona pacífica y que prefiere llevar la vida en paz, pero sé que en ocasiones, hay personas en el mundo que van a causar problemas. Bueno, supongo que la idea original del paraguas o de la #sombrilla no estaba en ese sentido de defensa personal, pero funciona bien en esos momentos.
