Today we woke up to our street being a giant puddle of water!
It's not unusual, this often happens after a heavy rain. One of the lowest parts of the street is by our house, as the drainage grate is right in front, so all the water flows to us. The drainage gets overwhelmed and gathers here.
Children got their rain boots on and began playing in the water.
The water is deep enough that it almost went over the tops of the boots!
The children came up with a fun game where they would stand behind an unbrella while cars would fly through the puddle making a huge splash.
They especially liked when a big truck went through the "lake"!
It was a fun morning! After this the sky got dark and we had more rain and lightening/thunder. But as they say "April showers brings May flowers!" ..but what did the May flower bring? PILGRIMS!!!
