The buzz of knowledge.
It just so happened that even at the time when I could not read yet, I spent a lot of my time in the library where there were only books and their readers around me.
It sounds strange, but since I did not attend kindergarten, my grandmother, who was the director of this library, took me with her to work.
At that time, the library was associated for me with the smell of book dust, the smell of dry food that they fed fish in a small aquarium standing on the table and pitch silence.
It was rare when you could hear someone whisper, only when children asked the librarian to give them this or that book.
Based on this, one might get the impression that knowledge is acquired in complete silence, and unnecessary sounds distract from this activity.
But when I decided to learn as much as possible about beekeeping, I realized that knowledge, extensive and very diverse knowledge, can be obtained under the continuous buzzing of bees, which cannot be ignored, even if there are no bees near you, but you think about them.
As I found out for myself, beekeeping as a profession is something that is difficult to fence off with some kind of framework and call the phrase - a narrow specialty, this is fundamentally wrong.
Bees are insects and it would seem that you can limit yourself to knowledge in entomology, but no, you need to study many other areas of science such as geography, biology, botany, ornithology and become someone who will know no less than any agronomist and marketer.
You need to know everything about the life cycles of bees and their enemies, among which there are other insects, birds and animals.
You need to know the geography of crops in the region where the apiary will be and understand the climatic features.
You will definitely be able to determine the direction of the cardinal points and where the wind is blowing from without a compass lol.
Each flowering plant will acquire a new meaning for you and give you new knowledge.
Becoming a beekeeper, you will involuntarily begin to understand carpentry and joinery, and in addition to obtaining honey, you will need to learn all about the intricacies of its sale.
I will say honestly, I had no idea about the volume of knowledge that was obtained after I began to be interested in beekeeping, and all this under the buzzing of bees, the main thing now is to be able to put knowledge into practice and actually hear the buzzing of bees.
