I called a beekeeper that said he would not kill them. He came, he gave us the honey, there were 3 gallons of it. But before he could capture the queen, they swarmed and left. In our area, having caught a swarm of bees, you can sell it or create a hive from it; many people do not buy bee colonies, but set up traps for swarms during the swarming period before the acacia blossoms.

The man I called was a beekeeper and said he would keep them. Two others I called said they would kill the bees because they said they could be the African kind. The man that came said it did not matter to him. We felt bad about him not getting them and offered him more money but he said no, he said he had brought bees home and then had them swarm the next day, he said it was part of it and would not take the extra money.
