Good afternoon! It feels like evening here in Pennsylvania, USA It's dark outside, but since the first day of winter, or Winter Solstice as many refer to the day, the days are beginning to lengthen and sunset is falling a little later each week.
Today I went back to work after prayer and Bible devotions with my husband.
My day started around four a.m. when I woke up and then wasn't able to drift back to sleep for a long time. When I did, I dreamed that I missed my alarm to wake up for work and it was 9:30. My start time is 7:45. When I woke in the dream, the phone lines were disconnected and I couldn't figure out how to reconnect them by myself. People were there that I knew that may have helped, but they ignored my pleas for help and left me to figure the problem out alone.
I woke up at the correct time and nothing was amiss when I logged into work. The call volume was surprisingly slow in the unit, but we were routed a lot of offline cases generated through the member website. I kept busy for the eight-and-a-half hours I am required to sit at my home office.
My job as a customer service representative for a large US health insurance carrier involves assisting members with all of their health insurance and health spending account questions. The first quarter of the year is the busiest time of the year.
Some people believe in a misconception surrounding telephone customer service jobs. "How hard could it be?" some will question. Try the job for an hour during periods when phone calls are coming onto your phone line back to back and the caller on the other line is chewing you out for something you can't change regarding the insurance policy they signed up for with their employer. I didn't get any irate callers today.
My husband isn't feeling well today, so my son and I ate leftover tacos for dinner after my husband brought home tomatoes for the tacos. The tacos were delicious! Tacos are one of my favorite foods.
At lunch I wrote a five-minute
freewrite.
We're ending the evening watching an Adam Sandler movie on Tubi.
My husband loves television and movies. I prefer books, writing and art. The AI art on my freewrite I created on lunch using Night Café Artificial Intelligence.
I have a lot of credits remaining because you are awarded five free credits per day by Night Cafe, plus you earn three credits per social media share to a qualified account for up to ten art shares. I subscribed to it for a few months, but I canceled my subscription soon after Black Friday because they gave fifty percent more credits for renewing early during that sale. I use the service less frequently, but still, collect credits daily and share art to Twitter to keep my bank full. I appreciate being able to make unique art for my posts.
I will most likely end this evening reading the Kindle book The German Girl by Armando Lucas Correa. I like reading books set during the Holocaust. I don't enjoy suffering, but the tales of survival are inspiring.
This is my Proof of Life post.
