Back in high school we were always made to debate on one topic or the other. The popular one was the comparison of Man made medications and indigenous medications.
Despite my African roots, I still stand for the modern ways of meditation.
The Indigenous ways were too shabby with the care of the human body even though the results came out superb. The mixtures of herbs and varieties of plants to produce a syrup or kinda drip to cleanse the internals of a human was healthy and effective but not hygienic per say.
Everything has its side effects! Modern medications involve
pills, concentrated syrup and drips, etc. These things have quick recovery abilities in them but they also damage some parts of the body or end up drying up your blood flow, that's why its always advised to eat before or after taking the prescription.
Modern medications, derived from rigorous scientific research, offer standardized, effective treatments for diverse ailments, often with rapid results. In contrast, indigenous medications, rooted in traditional knowledge and natural remedies, emphasize holistic healing and cultural practices. While both systems have merits, modern medications’ precision, safety, and proven efficacy make them superior for addressing today’s complex health challenges.
What do you think? What method of medication would you prefer?
