I had a talk with Achim on that topic... I would say that Splinterlands just added a bit of gasoline to the fire... The whole crypto is hit, so HIVE had to get some damage too... Unfortunately, SPL changes came at the worst time... But, there is no good time for that kind of change...
Yeah I guess the difference is that some cryptos had some room to drop, but Hive (and SPS/Splinterlands assets) are already nearing their lows so it's even much lower now.
There were less than 10k active players yesterday based on PeakD's dashboard. The battles also decreased by a lot since the pass was implemented.
Your previous comment gave me an idea for tomorrow's show! I will say only this, keep these theories for tomorrow... 😃
