Bangladesh of six seasons has now become two seasons. hot and cold Winter also lasts for three months. The remaining nine months are hot. I am under tension whether six-season Bangladesh will become one season in the future. This year's heat has broken all previous records. People howled like animals in the heat. This heat does not cool even in the rain. Vapsa remains hot. One such day, I went for a walk on the banks of the Titus River one afternoon to escape from the scorching heat. As there was good water in the river during the rainy season. There were also many people on the bank of the river. How far will people go to escape the heat? There are few trees, there are some trees, but there is no wind. Those who have money install AC at home. And that hot air of AC gives free to the poor. You may not need to explain in detail how much AC usage affects the environment.
I walk along the river, but my body does not feel wind. Still walking and talking to different people. Suddenly I came near a village market and saw a boat moored at the river ghat. They always came to buy in this market by boat from the neighboring village. Those whose houses are on the banks of the river or in pastures, their feet and sails are the real wealth. When there is water in the river, the boat sails. And when there is no water in the river. Then feet are their hope. Because there are no roads, you have to go everywhere on foot.
I rented a small boat. It was getting late so I didn't have much time. I hired the boat for half an hour. Money is not much. I thought maybe a boat ride would be a bit better. That's what boat trips are for. If you look at the above picture, you will understand that I took the photograph after coming some distance from the boat wharf. Even looking at the sky, you can understand that evening is coming.
The boat started moving at its own speed with us. The boat was an engine powered boat. After boarding the boat, the body felt good. We started enjoying the trip very much. In fact, there is no boat trip for many days. I probably did the last boat trip in late 2014. However, I went to Chandpur several times with the launch. I have expressed that feeling to you.
Although we had half an hour to spare. But after traveling by boat for ten minutes, I saw that the sky in the south will turn black and rain will come. Then I told the boatman to take the boat to the shore. As I can hear the sound of rain, the situation is bad. Although the boat had a light thin roof system. Even though we had some kids with us, they would be scared. That's why I asked to take Taratari to the shore.
It started raining as soon as we got off the boat. I think the rain was waiting for us. I got off the boat and ran to a shop site and took shelter. But it started raining with no signs of stopping. Dusk passed with Maghrib call to prayer. It rained heavily for about forty minutes. Finally came home by an auto rickshaw. I got caught in the rain three times while renting a boat on this Titus river, ha ha ha.
